Murray, KY-The Cleveland State softball team is headed south for its third full weekend of competition in the 2025 regular season. The Vikings had the weekend off this past weekend, which gave them time to celebrate a historic season from last spring. Players, coaches and staff from the 2024 Horizon League Tournament championship team received their championship rings this past weekend.

The 2025 squad is set to face off against Murray State and Akron with four games scheduled for this weekend. The Vikings will play two games against each team with doubleheaders scheduled for Friday and Saturday. The weekend kicks off with a 10:00 a.m. first pitch against Akron.

Cleveland State split four games at the Scotsman Invitational hosted by Presbyterian in its most recent action at the tail end of February.
Avery Robinson and Peyton Mueller Stenz were honored by the Horizon League following the weekend as Cleveland State swept the league's weekly awards.

Robinson earned Pitcher of the Week honors after surrendering just one earned run in 11 and one third innings of work along with 19 strikeouts. Mueller Stenz hit .500 for the weekend with six hits and four RBI on her way to winning Player of the Week honors. Both will look to carry the positive momentum forward into this weekend's action.

Live Stats will be available for all four games of the weekend with live streaming coverage for the two games against host Murray State. This is the final non-conference series of the season for the Vikings with Horizon League play scheduled to begin next weekend with a road series at Youngstown State starting on March 14.
