MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Cleveland State track & field team opened up competition at the Myrtle Beach Challenge Friday, recording four top-10 individual finishes.
Cleveland State's best sprint event on the day came in the 100 Hurdles, as all three Vikings qualified into tomorrow's finals race.
Trinity Lamp paced the trio with a time of 14.71, while
Madison Luthy crossed the finish line in 15.10 and
Olivia Todd finished in 15.27.
Ana Crangle represented the Vikings in distance events on Friday, posting a fifth place finish in the 5000 Meter Run with a time of 18:27.45.
In field events, Cleveland State recorded a trio of top-10 finishes, paced by
Grace Frye placing fifth in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 48.35. In addition to Frye,
Jaylynn King also recorded a top-10 finish in the Hammer, placing eighth with a mark of 42.88.
Madison Luthy recorded the third top-10 finish for the Vikings, posting a mark of 5.37 in the Long Jump to place eighth.
The Vikings will wrap up action at the Myrtle Beach Challenge tomorrow, with field events set to start at 10:00 a.m. and running events slated to begin at 10:30 a.m.
