Cleveland, OH-Chase Robinson has been named the Horizon League Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the league office announced today. Robinson takes home the honor after a big game on Thursday night in Cleveland State's win over Purdue Fort Wayne.
Â
Robinson tied his career high scoring 20 points in Cleveland State's 68-58 road victory. He scored 11 in the second half to help the Vikings maintain a halftime lead and close out the win. Robinson shot 60 percent from the field and made 3-of-5 from three-point range.
Â
He connected on all five of his free throw attempts. In addition, he added six rebounds and a steal to his stat line for the night.
Â
The Vikings have won 13 consecutive games, a streak that is currently tied for second in the country. Cleveland State has not lost since December 5 and carries that streak into Wednesday's game at Northern Kentucky. A win at NKU would tie the program record of 14 consecutive victories.
Â
Robinson earns his first league weekly award and this marks the seventh league weekly award for Cleveland State this season.
