Cleveland, OH-Avery Robinson and Peyton Mueller Stenz were honored by the Horizon League today as Cleveland State swept the league's weekly awards after picking up two wins in the Scotsman Invitational hosted by Presbyterian over the weekend. Robinson was named Pitcher of the Week and Mueller Stenz earned Player of the Week honors.

Robinson took home the Pitcher of the Week award after a stellar weekend in the circle. She appeared in all four games and yielded just one earned run in 11 and one third innings of work. Robinson struck out 19 total batters on the weekend and walked only four hitters. In the second game of the day on Friday, she registered a complete-game shutout in Cleveland State's 10-0 run rule win over Maryland Eastern Shore. She struck out 10 and allowed only two hits over five scoreless innings of work.

Mueller Stenz took home the Player of the Week award after hitting .500 with six hits in 12 at bats for the weekend. She hit safely in all four games with one triple and four RBI. She scored three times. The highlight of the weekend for Mueller Stenz was a walk-off single in the game against Valparaiso on Saturday. She singled down the left field line which brought home the winning run and gave CSU a 4-3 win.

This is the first weekly award for both student-athletes and the first two awards won by Cleveland State this season. The Vikings are next in action this weekend at the Murray State Invitational scheduled to begin on Friday.
