Cleveland State-Purdue Fort Wayne Men’s Basketball Game Selected to Air on ESPN2

Cleveland, OH-The Cleveland State men's basketball team will make yet another appearance on national television as the men's basketball game against Purdue Fort Wayne at the Wolstein Center on Saturday, March 1 has been selected to air on ESPN2. The Horizon League and ESPN announced the selection today as part of the league's television agreement with ESPN. Tip-off time has been adjusted to 4:00 p.m. EST.

Cleveland State will make its sixth appearance on a linear network this season in the final regular season game of the 2024-25 season. The Vikings will have appeared on Big Ten Network, ESPNU and ESPN2 twice each within the regular season.

The Vikings and Mastodons met once already this season and the matchup between the two teams will be nationally televised on both occasions. Cleveland State earned a 68-58 win on the road in a game that was broadcast on ESPNU on January 30. The win was part of Cleveland State's 13-game winning streak that captured national attention and is one of five road conference victories for the Vikings this season.

The Vikings currently sit at 12-4 in league play and in first place in the league standings. A two-game trip to Michigan is on tap this week, with the first game against Detroit Mercy scheduled for Friday evening. Following the trip to Michigan, Cleveland State's final two regular season games will be nationally televised, with the road matchup at Wright State on February 27 already announced to air on ESPN2.

The game against Purdue Fort Wayne will be Senior Day. All senior student-athletes will be recognized in a pre-game ceremony. Click HERE for more information and promotional details for all remaining home games.
