FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Cleveland State women's basketball team got back in the win column Saturday, picking up a 61-52 victory at Purdue Fort Wayne. With the win, the Vikings are now 21-6 overall this season and 12-4 in Horizon League play.

The Game
After trailing by four points at the halftime break at 30-26, the Vikings opened the third quarter with 6-1 run to regain a 32-31 lead on a
Jordana Reisma layup just three minutes into the frame. The two teams then traded the next two baskets, while a
Destiny Leo three-pointer at the 3:47 mark put Cleveland State up 36-34.
Just over 1:00 minute later, a
Grace Ellis offensive rebound and put-back gave the Vikings a four-point lead at 38-34, before Purdue Fort Wayne closed out the frame with five straight points to take a 39-38 advantage into the fourth quarter.
The Mastodons were able to hold the lead over the first part of the fourth quarter, until a Perdue layup at the 3:57 mark knotted the score at 52-52, while another Perdue basket just 11 seconds later gave the Vikings an advantage that they would go on to hold for the rest of the contest.
Cleveland State was able to extend its lead with back-to-back baskets from Reisma and Guerreiro, before a trio of free throws from Leo and Perdue over the final minute clinched the victory for the Vikings. Over the final 3:57, the Vikings outscored the Mastodons 11-0 pulling away with the 61-52 victory.
