Cleveland, OH-Head coach
Rob Summers has announced the addition of Willie Piggott Jr. to Cleveland State's 2026 recruiting class. Piggott officially signed his letter of intent today to join the Vikings starting in the 2026-27 season.
Piggott comes to Cleveland after a successful prep career at Tampa Catholic High School. He was named the District 3A Player of the Year as well as being named to the All-County team. He is a member of Tampa Catholic's 1,000 point club having hit the mark at the end of his junior season.
Piggott recently transferred to Arizona Compass Prep for the 2025-26 season, a national powerhouse as one of the top 20 prep schools in the country.
"Willie brings exactly the kind of versatility and physicality we value," said Coach Summers. "He's a strong, multi-positional wing who can impact the game on both ends of the floor, and he plays with a maturity beyond his age. Willie fits our BUILD core values—Brotherhood, Unselfishness, Integrity, Love, and Discipline—and embraces the daily work that it takes to be successful. We're excited to add his toughness and unselfishness spirit to the program. Viking Nation is going to love the competitiveness and passion he has
