BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Cleveland State placed sixth in its final tune-up for the Horizon League Championship at the Falcon Invite on Friday evening.
The Vikings had a team time of 1:55:32, which was an average of 23:07. The average mile was 6:12, and there was a five-man gap of 1:53.
"This meet was a great tune-up for the conference meet," said coach Hudson. "Everyone on the team ran season-best times, and four ran lifetime personal bests. It was truly a team effort. We've been working on having a stronger finish, and just about everyone passed people during the second 3,000 meters. Now, we just must keep this momentum going into the conference meet."
Bowling Green placed first, CMU took second, and Marshall was third.
Ana Crangle paced the Green and White with a 12th-place finish after crossing in 22:01. Crangle led the team for the second consecutive time and the fourth time this season.
"Ana ran a great race today and really set herself up to run a great race and really pressed the second half."
