Cleveland, OH-After a big week that included a career-high in scoring this past weekend, Reece Robinson has been named the Horizon League's Freshman of the Week.
 
Robinson averaged 10 points and seven rebounds per game in helping the Vikings to a 2-0 week with home victories over Detroit Mercy and Green Bay. Cleveland State has won 12 consecutive games, tied for the second-longest streak in the country. The Vikings are now 10-1 in league play and remain in first place in the Horizon League standings.
 
Robinson set a new career-high with 14 points in Saturday's win over Green Bay. He finished 4-for-7 from the field and made two of his three attempts from three-point range, including a key three-point make with under four minutes to go that kick-started the Vikings' late run to put the game away. Robinson added 11 rebounds for his third double-double of the season.
 
Robinson added six points and three rebounds in 19 minutes of action against Detroit Mercy on Wednesday. For the week, Robinson finished at 58 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range. This is Robinson's first league weekly award and the sixth weekly award for a Cleveland State student-athlete this season.
 
The Vikings will next travel to Purdue Fort Wayne for a nationally televised weeknight game against the Mastodons. Tip-off is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. on ESPNU from Fort Wayne's Memorial Coliseum.
