Cleveland, OH-The Horizon League unveiled today the 2024-25 conference schedule for the upcoming men's basketball season. Cleveland State will play a total of 20 league games with ten home games and ten road contests. The full non-conference schedule will be released soon.
Cleveland State is looking to build upon a successful 2023-24 campaign which saw the Vikings finish 11-9 in league play. Cleveland State recorded its fourth consecutive trip to the Horizon League Tournament Semifinals and the third straight season of 20 wins or more. Head coach

The league slate begins with a trip to the state of Wisconsin for matchups against Milwaukee(Dec. 5) and Green Bay(Dec. 7). The Vikings will shift back to non-conference action as well as a mandatory break for final exams before welcoming Oakland to the Wolstein Center for the first conference home game of the season on December 19. The Golden Grizzlies are the defending regular season and tournament champions, however Cleveland State has won the previous two meetings at the Wolstein Center the past two seasons.
Highlighting January is a home matchup against Northern Kentucky on January 15. The Vikings and Norse have had several tight battles over the past two seasons, with all five matchups finishing within one possession. Cleveland State closes the month with a road trip to Purdue Fort Wayne. Cleveland State has won four in a row against PFW including the last two road matchups.
The February schedule features a key home matchup against in-state foe Youngstown State. Cleveland State has taken seven of the last nine meetings with the Penguins, including two of three last season. The Vikings defeated YSU on the road in last year's Horizon League Tournament Quarterfinals to earn a trip to the league semifinals in Indianapolis.
The regular season concludes with a home Senior Day matchup against Purdue Fort Wayne. The Horizon League Tournament begins with the First Round on Tuesday, March 4 at campus sites. The tournament concludes one week later with the championship game set for Tuesday, March 11 in Indianapolis.
