CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State volleyball team dropped its first contest in seven matches Saturday, falling to Northern Kentucky 3-1. The Vikings now stand at 10-3 overall this year and 1-1 in Horizon League play.
Liberty Torres paced the Viking offense with 18 kills, while
Nia Hall added 11, and
Ella Mihacevich recorded 39 assists.
The Cleveland State defense was led by
Emma Walker with 24 digs, while
Ayva Leon and
Lesley Marshall both added 10.
As a team, the Vikings posted nine service aces, including three from Walker and two from Marshall.
Cleveland State combined for seven team blocks, with four from
Allana Appleby.
The Vikings will close out their current homestand on Tuesday, October 1, hosting Oakland at 6:00 p.m.
