BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Cleveland State track & field team competed in its first meet of the indoor campaign Saturday, registering 16 top-five individual finishes at the Tom Wright Open hosted by Bowling Green.
 
In sprint events, the Vikings were led by Trinity Lamp who qualified for the finals of the 60 Hurdles, notching a fifth place overall finish with a time of 8.97. The Vikings also picked up a pair of top-five finishes in the 200 Meter Dash, with Zuriah Radeff-Koonce (27.21) placing fourth and Madison Luthy (27.40) placing fifth.
 
Cleveland State captured a pair of distance titles on the day, with Sophia Pomnean winning the 800 Meter Run (2:28.68) and Natalie Keller placing first overall in the 3000 Meter Run (10:20.00).
 
Jaylynn King recorded Cleveland State's top field finish on the day, placing second overall in the Weight Throw with a mark of 15.97. In addition, Grace Frye (WT – 19.95 & SP – 13.23) and Luthy (HJ – 1.55) both notched third place finishes in field events.
 
Cleveland State will now be off from competition until after the New Year, returning to action at the Akron Invitational on Friday, January 17.
