LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Cleveland State volleyball team made its sixth appearance in the NCAA Tournament Thursday, dropping a 3-0 decision at (3)Kentucky in a First Round matchup. The Vikings finish the 2024 campaign with a 23-10 overall record.
Nia Hall led the Viking offense with 10 kills against Kentucky, while
Emma Walker led the Viking defense with 11 digs.
Ella Mihacevich recorded 22 assists on the night, while
Liberty Torres recorded a pair of blocks.
Walker finishes her Cleveland State career with a record-setting 1,811 digs, including a CSU single-season record 688 digs this year.
Mihacevich finishes her collegiate career with 3,021 total assists, along with 1,043 digs and 528 kills after notching 1,237 assists, 301 digs and 139 kills in her lone season as a Viking.
After eclipsing 1,000 career kills earlier this season, Torres rounds out her CSU career with 1,040 kills, including 481 this season which is tied for sixth on the CSU Single-Season record list.
The 2024 campaign was highlighted by the Vikings capturing their sixth Horizon League Tournament title, behind All-League performances from Hall, Torres, Walker,
Laken Voss and
Allana Appleby.
