WOOSTER, Ohio – The Cleveland State cross country team competed in its final tune-up before the NCAA Regionals on Friday, racing in the Wooster 5K Twilight Challenge. The race was held under the lights on Wooster's track at John P. Papp Stadium.
"The goal for today was to see how fast we could run on the track, and we accomplished that mission," head coach
Jason Hudson said. "Everyone ran personal best times today, and this sets us up really well for regionals next week. I'm so proud of everyone's effort today, including Ana who ran an incredible race to finish first overall."
Ana Crangle finished first overall with a time of 17:17, while
Natalie Keller placed second in a time of 17:40.
Ariana Coats also recorded a top-five finish for the Vikings, placing fourth overall with a time of 18:51.
Sage Colon (6
th-18:56) and
Aubrey Evans (10
th-19:38) both notched top-10 finishes, while
Madeline Crissman rounded out the CSU competitors with a 17
th place finish in a time of 20:24.
Cleveland State will close out the 2024 campaign next week, taking part in the NCAA Regionals on Friday, November 15.
