MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Cleveland State volleyball team closed out regular season play Saturday, picking up a 3-0 victory at Milwaukee. With the win, the Vikings finished regular season play with a 20-9 overall record, including an 11-7 mark in Horizon League play.

With Saturday's win the Vikings reached the 20-win mark for the 18th time in program history, and the first since the 2017 campaign.

Defensively, Emma Walker recorded 20 digs, while Laken Voss finished with 10.

The Vikings combined for 10 total service aces on the match, including three from Ella Mihacevich.

During the opening set, the Vikings were able to distance themselves midway through the frame, gaining a 15-11 edge on an Allana Appleby kill. A few points later, the Vikings rattled off four straight points to gain their first set point of the frame at 24-17 on a Nia Hall service ace. Although Milwaukee was able to fend off a few set points, the Vikings finally put the frame away on a Laken Voss kill for the 25-19 first set win.

Cleveland State carried its momentum into the second set, earning a quick 6-1 advantage on an Appleby kill and an Ella Mihacevich service ace. The Vikings then held a sizeable advantage throughout the rest of the frame, claiming the 25-19 second set victory.

The third set was much of the same, as the Vikings once again used a strong start to earn an 11-5 lead on a Hall kill midway through the set. Cleveland State was then able to hold off a late Panther run, earning set point on a Mihacevich kill before claiming the 25-20 third set victory on a Hall kill.
