Cleveland State Women's Soccer Wrapped-Up Season at Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE, Wisc. – The Vikings (2-14-1, 2-8-0) concluded the 2024 season with a 5-0 loss to regular season champion Milwaukee on Saturday afternoon. This concludes the first season for the Green and White under head coach Mark Sappington.

Milwaukee notched the first goal in the 33rd minute after Zoey Pagels crossed it from the right side to Ellie Rebmann, who headed it across to Molly O'Regan for a second header and the 1-0 lead.

The Panthers made it 2-0 three minutes into the second half as Kayla Rollins headed in a corner by Elizabeth Reece. Three minutes later, Jennis Andjelic ripped a shot from the top of the box to make it 3-0.

Milwaukee tacked on a fourth goal in the 65th minute as Rollins bagged her second of the game off a pair of passes from Pagels and Molly O'Regan. Six minutes later, O'Regan tallied the game's final goal off a long ball from Ellie Rebmann and Kayla Rollins.

The Vikings fired off 17 shots in the finale with three on frame. Cleveland State took seven corners in comparison to four for the home team.

Mayra Sesmas finished with a game-best six shots. Erica Leinweber and Cortlyn Hefty each had two shots. Elyse Broderick made six saves in goal.
