FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Cleveland State track and field team opened the 2023 #HLTF Indoor Championships Saturday, highlighted by a top-15 finish from Ariana Coats in the 5000 Meter Run.

Coats notched Cleveland State's lone top-15 finish on Saturday, finishing the 5000 Meter Run in a time of 19:06.33 to place 14th overall.

Jillian McArdle competed in the second finals event for the Vikings on Saturday, as she placed 23rd overall in the Long Jump with a mark of 4.84.

In the lone relay event of the day, the Cleveland State quartet of Kiannah Sarver, Jillian McArdle, Madelynn Madison, and Ana Crangle finished 10th in the Distance Medley Relay with a time of 13:29.21.

The Vikings will wrap up action at the #HLTF Indoor Championships tomorrow (Sunday, February 26), with field events starting at 9:15 a.m. and track events beginning at 1:00 p.m.
