"This was a great way to start our indoor season, as Ana, Sage and Natalie all executed their race plan very well," head coach Jason Hudson said. "The goal today was to have a plan and execute that plan, which they all did and I'm very happy with their first competitive race of the indoor season."

Crangle paced the Vikings with a ninth place finish in the 5K race, crossing the finish line in a time of 18:46.74. Keller was right behind, posting a time of 18:47.34 to finish 11th overall. Colòn posted a time of 19:25.63 to mark another top-20 finish for the Vikings.

Friday's race marked the first collegiate indoor race for Keller and Colòn.

The Vikings will continue their indoor season next week, taking part in the Tom Wright Open hosted by Bowling Green on Saturday, December 9.
