Cleveland, OH-Je'Shawn Stevenson is the newest member of the Cleveland State men's basketball team, head coach Daniyal Robinson announced today. Stevenson signed his letter of intent earlier this week and joins Tyler Spratt, Reece Robinson, and Chaz Watson as the fourth and final player to sign with the Vikings during the November signing period.  

Stevenson comes to CSU from Chicago, IL where he is a standout at Lindblom High School. During his time playing under head coach Narvel Newsom, Stevenson was named All-City and All-State, and registered a career-high 43 points. He is the school's all-time leading scorer.

"We are thrilled to welcome Je'Shawn Stevenson to the Cleveland State Vikings family," said Coach Robinson. "Je'Shawn is not only an exceptional basketball player, but also an extremely bright young man of high character. His dedication to his family, his academics, and his passion for the game of basketball are all truly impressive. We believe Je'Shawn will be a huge addition to the future of Cleveland State Vikings basketball because of his leadership at the point guard position and ability to score from anywhere. We look forward to seeing him thrive on the court and make a significant impact both athletically and academically during his time here. With his talent and commitment, the future is bright for our program."

Stevenson helped to lead Lindblom to two 20-win seasons during his time. The team went 9-0 in conference play his sophomore year and he has also won a City Championship during his high school career.

"Je'Shawn Stevenson signing to CSU was the best decision for him," Lindblom head coach Narvel Newsom added. "He displays high character and is a super student-athlete! We are so proud of him and we know that he will be in good hands."

Stevenson is joined by his parents, Linetta Harris and Je'Shawn Stevenson, Sr. He has four siblings: Dashauna Sturdivant, Jayla Stevenson, Genesis Milton, and Gregory Milton.
