Cleveland State Men's Soccer Drops Finale to Robert Morris

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Cleveland State (3-9-5, 2-3-4) dropped their regular-season finale to Robert Morris (5-6-5, 3-4-2) 1-0 on Wednesday afternoon.

The opening half went scoreless, with Robert Morris holding an 8-6 edge in shots.

The Colonials netted the lone goal in the 78th minute as John Paul Mbuthia finished off a through ball following a give-and-go from Anass Hadran and William Dodzi Afawubu.

Cleveland State nearly drew even in the 87th minute as Carlos Portas shot drilled the crossbar from 40-yards out.

The Green and White had a 13-12 advantage in shots, and both teams put three shots on goal.

Pablo Kawecki led the offense with three shots, while Marko Rimac, Albert Portas, and Josh Davis had two shots apiece. Omeed Naeemy made two saves on the afternoon.
