Cleveland State Women's Soccer Blanks NKU on Alumni Day, 1-0

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's soccer team (5-4-2, 2-2-0) shutout Northern Kentucky (1-6-1, 1-2-0) 1-0 on Sunday afternoon. During the halftime break, the Vikings welcomed back 20+ alumni to Krenzler Field.

THE GAME
The Vikings wasted no time getting on the board as Maddie Young finished off a through ball from Mayra Sesmas in the second minute.

Cleveland State took the 1-0 lead into the intermission, holding a 5-1 edge in shots.

The second half went scoreless with the Green and White outshooting the visitors, 4-3.

Liv Fain didn't face any shots on the day while recording her third shutout and the team's fourth on the year.

McKenna Donahue and Young finished the game with two shots apiece.

UP NEXT
The Vikings will play just a single game next week on Saturday at Wright State with a 7 p.m. kickoff.
