AKRON, Ohio – The Cleveland State track & field team opened competition at the Akron Invitational Friday evening, participating in the 5000 Meter Run and Long Jump events.
Hannah Korte paced the Vikings in the 5000 Meter Run, placing sixth overall with a time of 19:25.72. Ariana Coats (19:47.47) and Emily Nemeth (20:35.50) also represented the Vikings in the event, placing seventh and eighth respectively.
Zoe Dellaserra was the final Viking to compete on Friday, placing 13th in the Long Jump with a mark of 4.51.
Action at the Akron Invitational will continue tomorrow, with events slated to begin at 11:00 a.m.
