Brandt Leads Vikings On Final Day Of Doug Raymond Invite

KENT, Ohio – The Cleveland State track and field team wrapped up action at the Doug Raymond Invitational, led by Anna Brandt who recorded a program-best time in the 3,000 Meter Run.

Brandt, who posted a time of 10:10.70 in the 3,000 Meter Run, finished sixth overall on Saturday. Brandt's time marked a program-record over the last four years, and bettered the old mark by almost three seconds.

Dyamond Myers posted Cleveland State's top finish in the 400 Meter Dash, crossing the finish line in a time of 1:01.42, while Margaret Smith recorded a time of 2:22.63 to lead the Vikings in the 800 Meter Run.

Kamryn Sharer was Cleveland State's lone representative in field events on Saturday, as she finished 19th in the Shot Put with a mark of 11.44.

The Vikings will have one more tune-up before the Horizon League Indoor Championship, taking part in the Silverston Invitational on Friday, February 21.
