OBERLIN, Ohio – The Cleveland State track and field team had an excellent showing at the Bob Kahn Invitational Saturday, picking up eight top-three finishes, including a trio of first place finishes.

Cleveland State's two individual wins came from Hannah Gaskins and Lauren Zawie, Gaskins winning the high jump with a mark of 1.60 and Zawie winning the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 1:02.65. The Vikings also picked up a win in the 4x100 Meter Relay, with Tylar Mixon, Chan'lier Myers, Zawie, and Briah Owens crossing the line first in a time of 49.29.

In the sprint events, the Vikings picked up four of the top-five finishes in the 400 Meter Dash, with Samantha Meyer (2^nd), Mixon (4^th) and Myers (5^th) joining Zawie in the race, while Anna Brandt placed second in the 400 Meter Hurdles with a time of 1:06.90.

In the distance events, Kylie Scott recorded Cleveland State's best finish with a third place showing in the 5000 Meter Run, crossing the finish line in 19:41.65. Jessica Finley placed fourth in the 1500 Meter Run (5:04.55), while Deja Emmanus had the Vikings' best finish in the 800 Meter Run, posting a time of 2:32.02 to finish fourth.

In the field events, Rachel Wenzel recorded a pair of third place finishes in the High Jump (1.50) and Long Jump (4.45), while Julianne Dorothal placed fourth in the Javelin with a mark of 30.36.

The Vikings will continue the outdoor season next weekend, participating in the Miami Duals on Saturday, April 14.
