FAIRBORN, Ohio - The Cleveland State women's basketball team had four players score in double figures and made a strong second half comeback, but it was not enough as the Vikings fell at Wright State, 61-53 Thursday evening. Thursday's contest was the regular season finale for the Vikings, as CSU ended the regular season at 13-16 overall and 5-11 in Horizon League play.

Shalonda Winton led the Vikings with her 17th double-double of the season with 15 points and 16 rebounds, while Imani Gordonwas just shy of a double-double with 12 points and nine boards. Cori Coleman and Kiersten Green both added 10 points - with Green also adding five rebounds, three assists and two steals.

CSU was able to get out to a quick 10-3 lead to begin the game, and held the advantage until the 8:18 mark when Wright State was able to tie the game at 13-13. During the opening minutes CSU got points from four different players - Haley Schmitt (3), Winton (3), Gordon (2) and Coleman (2).

The Raiders were then able to take over the lead and hold the advantage for the remainder of the first half, going into the break with a seven-point lead at 29-22.

To open the second frame the Raiders posted an 11-2 run to extend their lead to 16 points (37-24) with 16:41 remaining. Wright State held a double-digit lead for the next 15 minutes, including a 17-point advantage - their largest of the contest - three times.

The Vikings battled their way back into the contest over the final 3:55, going on a 14-5 run, with eight points coming from Winton, four from Coleman and two from Green. To end the contest CSU posted nine-straight points, closing the gap to single digits (61-53) with 24-seconds left on the clock. This was as close as the Vikings would come though, as Wright State was able to pull out the eight-point victory.

The Vikings will now wait to see what seed they will get for the Horizon League Tournament, which begins with first round action on Monday, March 11. Check back to CSUVikings.com for updates on CSU's opponent, game time and location for the Horizon League Tournament.
