LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Matt Kuelker and Jay Jones each won the singles final in their respective flights while the tandem of Kuelker and Jorg Van Der Vloet won their doubles final to lead the Cleveland State men's tennis team on the final day of the Louisville Invitational.

"We improved for the third straight day this afternoon, which says great things about the season going forward for this group," assistant coach Jay Tee said. "We were able to go 3-1 on the final day of the Invite and I am very happy with how everyone performed."

Kuelker, who was in the Flight A Singles Consolation final, earned a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Wright State's Martin Arguello to take the championship. Jones earned his title after recording a 7-6 (4), 1-6, 10-6 win over Michal Hriciste of Austin Peay in the Flight B Singles Consolation bracket.

"We are getting better with every match and we are coming together as a team," Kuelker said. "Overall I was happy with how I played this weekend, there are some things that I can work on moving forward, but we are very excited for next weekend's tournament at Notre Dame."

Kuelker was also on CSU's winning doubles team, as he paired with Van Der Vloet to capture the Flight B Doubles championship with an 8-4 win over Morehead State's Nathan Martin and Nathan Blum. Yannick Goossens and Ali Shabib were also in action today for the Vikings, as they placed second in the Flight A Doubles bracket, falling to a duo from Lander by a score of 8-6.

The Vikings will be in action next weekend, when they travel to South Bend, Ind. for the Notre Dame Invitational on Friday (Sept. 23), Saturday (Sept. 24) and Sunday (Sept. 25).
