DeKALB, Ill. - Northern Illinois' Luis Mojica scored twice, once in each half, leading the Huskies to a 2-0 win over Cleveland State on Sunday (Sept. 12).

At the 5:07 mark, Mojica dribbled down the field, past the Viking defenders, and scored an unassisted goal. The Viking defense held tough until the second half, when a goal kick in the 68th minute led to a botched header by a CSU player. Northern Illinois' Nate DuBois found Mojica by the far post, who sent the ball into the net for the only other goal of the match.

CSU goalkeeper Brad Stuver notched four saves in the contest. Brian Donnelly and Manual Conde each recorded a shot on goal.

The contest, played on Northern Illinois' home field, was part of the NIU Adidas/Magnuson Inn Invitational. Stuver, who totalled 10 saves in matches against NIU and Northwestern, and midfielder Aslinn Rodas were named to the Invitational All-Tournament team.

The Vikings will return to Illinois next Friday (Sept. 17) for match against SIU-Edwardsville. That match is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m. EST.

Cleveland State will return home on Sunday (Sept. 19) for a 1:00 p.m. contest versus IPFW. That match will be video streamed live on www.csuvikings.com.
