INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Sunday afternoon's softball series finale at Butler has been canceled because of rain after playing just one inning. It will not be rescheduled.

Lia Gordon was batting with a 1-0 count in the top of the second when rains came to the Indianapolis area. After a 30-minute delay, the game was canceled.

The Vikings, who are 16-12 overall and in second place in the Horizon League with a 6-2 record, will travel to Detroit for a three-game series on Tuesday-Wednesday (April 7-8).

CSU returns home on Friday, April 10 to start a 13-game home stand with a doubleheader against Loyola.
