TULSA, Okla. -- Sunday proved to be moving day for Viking sophomore Phil Orno at the Polo Ralph Lauren All-American in Tulsa, Okla. as he dropped a 7-5, 6-2 decision to Clemson's Kevin Fleck in the third round of the qualifying tournament to be eliminated from the bracket.

Orno had advanced to the third round by routing Weber State's Sascha Kiehne in three sets, 6-3, 6-7, 6-2 on Saturday.

"This was a good experience for both Phil and Ryan (Hamning)," CSU head coach Brian Etzkin said. "By playing at a tournament of this caliber, it gives them a better idea of what they need to do to continue to improve. We will see dividends from this tournament during the spring."

The Vikings will take a week off from competition before resuming their fall schedule on Oct. 12-14 at the Louisville Invitational.
