CLEVELAND, OH - After earning a spot on the all-tournament team at the Toledo Invitiational over the weekend, junior middle hitter Jenni Ramminger was named the Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week.
Ramminger did a little bit of everything as she guided the Vikings to a 3-1 mark, which included sweeps over Bradley, IUPUI and Toledo.
For the week, the Cincinnati, Ohio native recorded 18 blocks (2 solo, 16 assists), 12 digs, 38 kills and hit .345. Ramminger's 18 blocks moved her into eighth place on the all-time list at CSU (244). She is also fourth all-time in hitting percentage (.276).
"It's great for Jenni to be recognized by the league because she was outstanding for us all weekend," CSU head coach Chuck Voss said. "She did a phenomenal job on defense and also picked up her offensive game."
CSU (3-1) returns to action on Tuesday night when it hosts Kent State at 7:00 pm in Woodling Gym. The Vikings will then hit the road for the Kentucky Invitational this weekend.
