CLEVELAND (AP) - Matt Rohde hit the tiebreaking jumper with four seconds
remaining, lifting Wisconsin-Green Bay over Cleveland State 60-58 Thursday
night.
The Phoenix (14-7, 8-3 Horizon League) withstood Cleveland State's
game-tying surge in the closing minutes, keeping the Vikings (4-18, 0-11)
winless in league play.
Brandon Morris scored 14 points for the Phoenix, making six of his seven
shots, including both of his 3-point attempts. Rohde and Javier Mendiburu each
added 11 points.
Omari Westley and Victor Morris each scored 15 points for Cleveland State.
The Phoenix had their largest lead at 56-49 when Mendiburu made two foul
shots with 1:18 remaining.
The Vikings came back on three baskets from beyond the 3-point arc, and
Jermaine Robinson's 3-pointer with 10 seconds left made it 58-58.
After Rohde put Wisconsin-Green Bay ahead, Robinson had a chance to give
Cleveland State the win, but his 3-point try missed.
