CLEVELAND (AP) - Demetrius Williams had 22 points, 14 rebounds and sparked a
late 13-3 run with a three-point play, leading Loyola of Chicago over Cleveland
State 90-83 Monday night.
Terrance Whiters led the Ramblers (6-5, 2-0 Horizon League) with 23 points
and Paul McMillan added 21.
Omari Westley scored a career-high 30 points and also had 13 rebounds for
the Vikings (4-9, 0-2). Jermaine Robinson had 21 points for Cleveland State and
reserve Percell Coles added 18 - 15 on 5-of-13 3-point shooting.
Williams' three-point play with 8:12 remaining snapped a 70-70 tie and
started the run that gave the Ramblers an 83-73 lead.
Cleveland State pulled to 86-82 when Coles made a 3-pointer with 58 seconds
to play, but McMillan and Williams each made two free throws to put Loyola
ahead by eight.
