YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) - Doug Underwood scored 17 points and Brian Radakovich made the winning basket on a layup with 21 seconds left, as Youngstown State beat Cleveland State, 57-55, Thursday night in the Horizon League.

Marlon Williamson scored 15 for the victorious Penguins.

Andre' Williams paced Cleveland State with 12 points and Percell Coles added 11.

Youngstown State, 5-7 overall and 1-1 in Horizon games, led almost the entire first half and seemed in command at halftime with a 24-17 lead. The Penguins hit only a third of their shots, but the Vikings were worse, 6-of-25, or 24 percent.

The tone continued well into the second half. Williamson's layup gave the Penguins a 16-point lead, 37-21, with 15:22 left.

Then, suddenly, the Vikings woke up. Over the next 10 minutes Cleveland State produced a 25-6 run to lead 46-43 with 5:21 left.

The rest of the game was a tussle, with the score tied four times. After Radakovich scored to make the score 57-55, Cleveland State had a good chance to tie it again in the closing seconds. Jonathan Burge had a shot, missed, grabbed the rebound and put up another shot, but missed again.

Both teams shot better than 50 percent in the second half.
