Robinson's 18 Points Not Enough As Vikings Fall To Wright State

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) - Jesse Deister scored 23 points, including 5-of-5 from the line, to lead Wright State to a 67-58 win over Cleveland State.

Deister's field goal with 10:18 remaining in the first half tied the game at 15 and a free throw less than a minute later gave the Raiders (11-5, 3-1 MCC) a lead they kept for the rest of the game.

Wright State led 34-25 at the half and both teams put up 33 points in the second half, preserving the Raiders' 9-point margin.

Jermaine Robinson led the scoring for Cleveland State (10-8, 2-2 MCC) with 18 points, 15 of which came from 3-pointers. The Vikings shot 56 percent from the line, but made only 33.9 percent from the field and 26.1 percent of 3-point shots.

Rebounds, fouls and turnovers were evenly split between the teams, but Wright State outshot the Vikings, making 51.2 percent from the field, 75 percent from the line, and 28.6 percent of 3-pointers.

Also scoring in double figures were Israel Sheinfeld with 17 and Vernard Hollins with 12 for the Raiders, and Theo Dixon, 13, and Kevin Ross, 10, for the Vikings.
