Dixon's Scoring Barrage Leads Cleveland State Over Oakland, 87-73

ROCHESTER, Mich. (AP) - Theo Dixon scored 28 points and grabbed seven rebounds as Cleveland State beat Oakland 87-73 Saturday night.

Dixon made 9-of-10 from the field - including 4-of-5 from 3-point range - and made all six of his free-throws.

Brad Buddenborg led the Golden Grizzlies with 26 points, bringing his career total to 1,013.

The Vikings (4-4) made 66.7 percent of their shots in the first half and held Oakland to 47.6 percent shooting to take a 43-32 halftime lead. The rest of the game was more even, but 5-of-11 3-point shooting in the second half kept Cleveland State ahead.

The Vikings held a 30-25 rebounding advantage over the Golden Grizzlies (3-5).

Jermaine Robinson scored 17 points for Cleveland State, Jamaal Harris and Tahric Gosley added 15 each, and Anthony Jackson chipped in 10 off the bench.

Jason Rozycki scored 16 points for Oakland, and Dan Champagne added 13 on 5-of-6 shooting.
