Tre Gomillion enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Cleveland State men's basketball team.

Gomillion is very familiar with Cleveland State and the program as he returns after playing three seasons (2019-22) under former head coach Dennis Gates and then assistant coach Summers.

Gomillion recently served under coach Gates at the University of Missouri as a graduate assistant for two seasons after playing his final season with the Tigers. In the 2022-23 season, he served as a team captain, guiding the Tiger to the NCAA Tournament.

As a graduate assistant for Missouri, Gomillion played a role in the Tigers making an NCAA Tournament appearance and having four All-SEC honorees.

As a player for the Vikings, Gomillion was a two-time Horizon League All-Defensive Player, the 2021 Horizon League Defensive Player of the Year, and a 2022 Third Team All-League honoree.

Gomillion obtained his bachelor's degree in communications from Cleveland State in 2022 and his master’s degree from Missouri.
