Ava is in her fourth year with Cleveland State University, serving as the Assistant Director for Sports Performance. She currently oversees all strength and conditioning for Men's Lacrosse, Wrestling, Women's Soccer, Women's Tennis, and Men’s and Women’s Swim and Dive.
Prior to her role as assistant director, Ava served as the paid intern sports performance coach at Cleveland State while pursuing her master’s in exercise science. She worked with Men's and Women's Tennis, Cross Country, Track & Field, Fencing, and Women's Soccer.
Before moving back to her hometown of Cleveland, Ava lived in New York City where she worked as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor at Body Space Fitness. In 2021, Ava interned with Rutgers Strength and Conditioning, where she assisted in the weight room with Men's and Women's Basketball, Men's and Women's Soccer, Wrestling, and Volleyball.
Ava earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in 2015, and her Master of Education in Exercise Science from CSU in 2022. She holds both CSCS and SCCC certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association and Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association, respectively.
Outside of her role at Cleveland State, Ava trains personal clients from her home gym, and serves as a remote strength coach for Peloton’s Team Wilpers. Ava lives in Ohio City with her fiancé Adam and their puppy Goose.
