Cleveland State Fencing Announces 2026-27 Slate

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State first-year head coach Hector Florencia announced the 2026-27 schedule Thursday, featuring five competitions.

The Vikings begin the year at the two-day Ohio State Duals & Open competition, which features the open on Saturday, Oct. 3, followed by team duals on Sunday, Oct. 4.

Cleveland State will take a month off before the two-day Drew Invite (Nov. 7-8) and then a week later compete at the two-day Penn Elite Invite (Nov. 14-15).

December fifth is the only competition of the month, the Denison Open, where coach Florencia spent two seasons before joining the Green and White.

The back half of the season features one tune-up for the postseason at the two-day Schiller Duals, hosted by Northwestern on Jan. 30-31.

For the first time in program history, the Vikings will host the CCFC Championship in the Wolstein Center on Feb. 20-21.

The NCAA Midwest Regional is set for March 14 at Notre Dame which will be followed by CAA Nationals at Duke from March 25-28.
