INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – For the third time in her career, Cleveland State women's tennis senior
Ella Franz as earned a spot on the Horizon League All-Academic Team, as announced by the league Thursday afternoon.
Franz, who has now earned a spot on the team every year she has been eligible, is one of six student-athletes named to this year's team.
Franz, a senior studying biology with a pre-med focus, is a member of the CSU Honors College and has served as the CSU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee president for the past two seasons.
On the court, Franz has played at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles this year, and currently stands as the Cleveland State record holder for individual doubles wins and team doubles wins.
With just one week left in regular season play, Franz has 15 singles wins on the year – including a 3-1 record against league opponents – while she has a team-best 14 doubles wins with teammate
