INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – For the second straight season the Cleveland State men's tennis duo of
Carl Gedlitschka and
Nico Jamison has earned a spot on the Horizon League All-Academic Team, as announced by the league Thursday afternoon.
In the classroom, Gedlitschka and Jamison are both annual members of the CSU Dean's List, Gedlitschka studying sport & entertainment management and Jamison pursuing a degree in finance.
On the court, Gedlitschka ranks among the best singles and doubles players in program history, ranking sixth all-time with 86 career singles wins and fifth with 82 career doubles wins. So far this season, Gedlitschka has a team-best 21 singles wins, while he owns 19 doubles wins with
Lincoln Battle.
Gedlitschka and Battle are currently ranked No. 57 in the latest ITA Doubles Rankings.
Jamison is closing in on becoming the fifth active Viking with 60 career wins, entering the final week of regular season play with 59 victories. This season, Jamison has combined for 17 wins, including a 4-1 record against league opponents.
