CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's tennis team picked up its first Horizon League win of the 2026 spring campaign Saturday, earning a 5-2 victory over Northern Kentucky.
The Vikings picked up the early doubles point against Northern Kentucky, earning a 6-3 win at the top of the lineup from

Melliz Petkova Mustafa and a 6-4 win at the No. 3 spot from
Jenna Redmile/
Laura Tapia.
Franz quickly added to Cleveland State's lead with a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles, while Redmile put the Vikings up 3-0 following a 6-3, 6-0 win at the No. 4 spot.
Anna Mancino then clinched the match for the Vikings with a 6-1, 6-7(4), 6-1 win at No. 2 singles, before
Leah Geisz added the final singles point with a 6-3, 6-7(4), 6-2 win at No. 6 singles.
With her win on Saturday, Redmile improved to 3-0 against Horizon League opponents this season, while Franz improved to 2-1 at the top spot in #HLTennis matches.
The Vikings will close out their home slate tomorrow, hosting IU Indy at 2:00 p.m.
