CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's tennis team will host its first – and final – Horizon League matches of the season inside the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion this weekend, welcoming Northern Kentucky and IU Indy.

After opening Horizon League play on the road, the Vikings will return home for the first time this month and the first time since the middle of March. Last time Cleveland State played at the MMTP the Vikings picked up a pair of 7-0 sweeps over Ashland and Mercyhurst.
Cleveland State will be looking for its first #HLTennis win of the season after dropping a pair of hard-fought 4-3 matches against Youngstown State and Milwaukee to open the league slate.
Through the first two league matches,
Jenna Redmile owns a perfect 2-0 singles record, while
Ella Franz and
Laura Tapia both split their singles matches over the first two weeks of league play.
For the season, Redmile and Franz own a team-best 13 singles wins, while
Leah Geisz owns 12 and Tapia owns 10.
In doubles, Redmile and Tapia have a 1-0 record against league opponents, while Franz and
Melliz Petkova Mustafa are 1-1.
Franz continues to add to her CSU Career Doubles Wins record, entering the weekend sitting at the top of the record book with 84 career doubles wins.
This weekend will be the final home matches for Franz, as she is closing out her four-year Cleveland State career.

The Vikings will close out regular season play on the road next weekend, traveling to Oakland before setting their sights on the Horizon League Tournament which runs April 24-26.
