DALLAS, Texas - The Cleveland State men's tennis team opened up its spring break trip Sunday, dropping a 4-0 contest at SMU.
Although the Vikings dropped the doubles point, Cleveland State's No. 1 team of
Lincoln Battle and
Carl Gedlitschka picked up a 6-4 win.
In singles, a trio of Vikings played unfinished matches, including
Tristan Stine who pushed his match to three sets at No. 6 singles. Battle was in a second set tiebreaker before his match got suspended, while
Nico Jamison picked up a win in the first set before his match got halted in the second set.
The Vikings will be back in action on Tuesday, traveling to UT Arlington for a 12:00 p.m. EST contest.
