CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's tennis team will be back in action with two matches over the next week, traveling to Dayton and Florida Gulf Coast.
Match #13 | at Dayton | Friday, March 6 | 10:00 a.m.
Match #14 | at FGCU | Wednesday, March 11 | 10:00 a.m.
These matches will part of a current three-match roadswing for the Vikings, while it will mark the seventh and eighth road contests of the season for Cleveland State. Entering the week, the Vikings will be looking for their first win away from home.
Next Wednesday's match at FGCU will be part of Cleveland State's annual spring break trip, as the Vikings head to the state of Florida to play an outdoor match.
Earlier this week, the Vikings swept the Horizon League Weekly awards for the first time this season, as
Ella Franz was named the Singles Player of the Week and
Leah Geisz and
Anna Mancino were named the Doubles Team of the Week. This marked the first weekly singles honor for Franz and the second weekly doubles honor for Geisz and Mancino.
Entering the week, Geisz has a team-best six singles wins this spring, while the duos of Mancino/Geisz & Franz/Petkova Mustafa both have five doubles wins during dual match play.
