INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – For the first time this season the Cleveland State women's tennis team has swept the Horizon League weekly awards, as Ella Franz was named the Singles Player of the Week and Anna Mancino/Leah Geisz picked up Doubles Team of the Week honors. The marks the first weekly singles honor for Franz this season and the second weekly doubles honor for Mancino & Geisz.
 
Last time out, Franz went 1-1 at No. 2 singles, picking up a straight set win against Ball State. In the second match of the weekend, Franz posted a 6-3, 7-5 decision over Sarah Shahbaz, notching her ninth win of the year and the fourth this spring.
 
In doubles, Mancino and Geisz went 1-0 at the No. 2 spot, earning a 6-2 win against Buffalo and playing an unfinished match at Ball State. The duo now has five wins this spring, including three since moving up to the No. 2 spot.
 
The Vikings will be back in action with a pair of matches over the next week, traveling to Dayton on Friday and Florida Gulf Coast on Wednesday, March 11.
