INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – For the second straight week Cleveland State senior
Carl Gedlitschka has been honored by the Horizon League, earning Singles Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Last time out, Gedlitschka and the Vikings went 1-1 on the week, including a 6-1 victory over Butler.
Gedlitschka went 2-0 on the week playing at No. 2 singles, picking up straight set wins in both matches. Against St. John's, he earned a 7-6(6), 7-6(4) victory, while posting a 6-2, 7-5 win against Butler.
With the win, Gedlitschka now has a team-best 19 singles wins on the year, including 11 this spring.
Gedlitschka and the Vikings will be back in action with a pair of matches on their annual spring break trip next week, traveling to SMU (Sunday, March 8) and UT Arlington (Tuesday, March 10).
