Cleveland State Men’s Tennis Set To Host YSU On Friday

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State men's tennis team will be back in action on Friday, when they host Youngstown State in the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion to continue Horizon League play.

Match #21 | Youngstown State | Friday, March 27 | 6:00 p.m.

The Vikings will be playing at home for the first time since the first of the month, and will be looking to improve on their 7-2 record that they hold this season when playing at the MMTP.

Last time out, Cleveland State opened its Horizon League slate, going 1-1 on a trip to Northern Kentucky and IU Indy.

Through the first weekend of #HLTennis play, the trio of Lincoln Battle, Devin Boyer and Nico Jamison went 2-0 in singles, while Battle and Carl Gedlitschka went 2-0 in doubles.

On the year, five Vikings have 15+ singles wins, including Gedlitschka who has eclipsed the 20-win milestone.

In the CSU record book, Gedlitschka enters the week ranked sixth with 85 career singles wins and fifth with 79 individual doubles wins.

Cleveland State is entering the final stretch of regular season play, with just four more matches on the schedule, including three at home.
