CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's tennis team picked up a pair of wins on Thursday, earning back-to-back sweeps over Ashland and Mercyhurst.
In doubles, Cleveland State's No. 2 and No. 3 teams both went 2-0 on the day, helping the Vikings earn the doubles point in both matches.
Anna Mancino and
Leah Geisz played at the No. 2 spot, while
Sofia Sergieva and
Laura Tapia played at No. 3 doubles.
Five Vikings went 2-0 in singles, as
Ella Franz, Mancino,
Melliz Petkova Mustafa,
Jenna Redmile, and Tapia all picked up wins in both matches.
Also picking up singles wins on the day were Geisz and
Sofia Sergieva.
The Vikings will close out non-league play on Sunday, traveling to Xavier for a 1:00 p.m. contest.
