CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's tennis team will close out non-league play this week, hosting a doubleheader against Ashland and Mercyhurst on Thursday and traveling to Xavier on Sunday.

Thursday will mark the first and only doubleheader of the season for the Vikings, and just the sixth time that they are playing at home this year. So far this season Cleveland State has picked up two of its wins at home, earning victories over St. Bonaventure and Bowling Green.
Through the first part of the spring slate
Leah Geisz has a team-best six singles wins, while
Ella Franz has five and
Laura Tapia has four. In doubles, the duos of
Anna Mancino/Geisz and
Melliz Petkova Mustafa/Franz each have six wins during dual match play.
Franz leads all current players with 54 career singles wins, while she has extended her lead at the top of the CSU Doubles Wins List, with 83 doubles wins during her time as a Viking.
So far this season the Vikings have earned two Horizon League Singles Player of the Week honors and a league-best four Doubles Team of the Week honors.
