MUNCIE, Ind. – The Cleveland State men's tennis team was back in action Saturday, battling for a 4-3 victory at Ball State.
"This was a great team win, our doubles continues to be a strength for us. We had some great singles performances from Cole, Devin and Lincoln to lead us during singles play. Although I saw more growth today from the entire team, we still have a lot more growing to do and we are excited for the next one!" head coach

The Vikings were able to open the match with the early doubles point, as

Tristan Stine picked up matching 6-2 victories at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, respectively.
Ball State answered with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots to start singles play then, before
Cole Chappell evened the score with a 6-0, 6-3 victory at No. 5 singles.
Cleveland State then gained a 3-2 edge in the team score with a 6-3, 7-6(2) victory from
Devin Boyer at No. 6 singles, while Battle clinched the match for the Vikings with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 win at the top of the lineup.
Cleveland State will be back in action next weekend, traveling to Xavier and Dayton.
